Over a decade has passed since I received this heartwarming text message. It was from a friend who reached out to me in response to a blog I’d shared on social media. The blog detailed my battle with anxiety, depression, and struggles with Luna, the rather overwhelming 10-month old Staffordshire Bull Terrier X Akita I’d adopted five months previously.
I’m possibly using a bit of ‘creative licence’ by calling this person a friend, as, on reflection, she was more of an acquaintance. Having said that, I would have been happy to call her a friend, and she was someone I held in high esteem. Someone I would have happily given my time to should a situation arise that demanded my time.
